Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She managed to make it on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied in her performance when as compared to the performance of her classmates. She began considering different options. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. But she quit before the band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary voice of The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992. This was her first solo album. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tracks. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. is an accompanying piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let You Go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25th 1954. After a brief recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics in the 1980s. In 1992, Lennox started her own solo career, releasing her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of songs like No MoreI I Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums as well as her compilation album have a lot of tracks.
